The Fotolabor St.Gallen was founded in 2009 and in just a few years has established itself as a professional specialist photo lab.

Situated in the Sittertal valley on the outskirts of St.Gallen in close vicinity and collaboration with Kunstgiesserei St.Gallen, the Stiftung Sitterwerk (encompassing a material archive, an art library and guest studios) and the Kesselhaus Josephsohn, the photo lab is ideally connected and well-frequented. Like in the Kunstgiesserei, we apply both traditional analog and modern digital techniques. Since the merger in 2021, the Fotolabor St.Gallen has been part of Kunstgiesserei St.Gallen AG.

The photo lab works for artists, photographers, filmmakers, galleries and museums, the fashion, textile and design industries, for architectural offices and graphic design studios, theaters, administrative offices, libraries and archives, for advertising and web designers, publishers, print media, and many more. Last year, we were able to train two young specialists and photography enthusiasts. Florin Röösli manages the Fotolabor. He has professional training as a mediamatician. Andri Vöhringer trained as a printing technologist and subsequently studied photography at GBS St.Gallen.
